The most leisurely way to go to Fjord Norway is by cruise. Jump on board, for example, in Kiel, Bremerhaven or South Hampton, and wake up to views of fjords and mountains on the west coast. Some of the ports in the region are Stavanger, Haugesund, Bergen, Hardangerfjord, Luster, Flam, Geiranger Fjord and Ålesund.

Fjord Norway has given its support to National Geographic "Geotourism Charter" - and aims to help create a sustainable cruise destination. It implies a vision that the cruise tourism in the region, will help to support authentic local environment, living landscape and a sustainable business. We encourage cruise guests to participate in field trips and take part in the natural and cultural experiences in the course of a cruise stay.

The active may want to learn more about Norwegian hiking tour traditions or glaciers walks on for example Briksdalsbreen. For those who prefer calmer experiences, a quiet walk with maybe a taste of farm and food experiences in Hardanger could be the right thing. Other attractions are the Flåm Railway, Geiranger Fjord and Bryggen in Bergen – just to name a few.

Or if you like - stroll around on your own. Why not get your own guide for to quickly find what you need. Everything is possible, and most are allowed.
