Glesnes Climbing Wall

The climbing area at Glesnes is situated on the southern tip of Sotra. The wall is very steep, with 20 to 30 degree overhangs. The quality of the rock is lower than other walls on Sotra, but in return the wall offers exciting hòlklatring.

Goltastraumen Climbing Wall

Channel climbing near the bridge over Glesnes channel. The routes on the main wall are steep and the side walls are completely vertical. The route furthest to the left can only be climbed at low tide.

6-12 meter high vertical wall. Climb on wooden lists of various sizes. The wall is fairly sheltered and is a good option when it’s windy.

A small wall but with very high rock quality. It has decent, slightly overhanging rock faces. The wall is west facing and has sun from about 3pm.

Piratbukta (The Pirate Bay)

Overhanging climbing wall with good grip-holds. The wall is 13 meters high and has a two meter overhang at its steepest section. It is located just south of Syltøyveggen on Langøy.

Skyggenes Dag (The Shadow Valley)

This shaded wall offers vertical, technical climbing on very compacted rock, with excellent climbing routes. The wall is about 15 meters high. In the summer it has evening sun from about 6.30pm
