Glacier walks

Glacier walks is an amazing experience. The magical, blue ice and the great landscape is often the highlight of the holidays in Fjord Norway.

However, you should avoid walking on the glacier without a guide or sufficient experience in glacier walking. The safe form of glacier walks is a guided tour where you can see spiky ice towers and deep crevasses in the ice. Several guides also offer longer hikes with crossing of glacier plateaus, visits in ice caves (only in winter) or climbing in a more challenging terrain. Local guides also propose courses in glacier walking that allow you to acquire enough knowledge to go on your own glacier walk the next time.
