The most exclusive way to explore the mountains is to go by a sailing vessel - starting out from sealevel and have a good meal on board after the trip. You need mountain skills and experience to go ski touring in norway on your own. Weather and conditions may change rapidly on the west coast of Norway. Touring skis and bindings, shovel, probe and a avalanche transmitter/ receiver is required, as is map, compass and/or gps device. Knowhow on avalanche safety and navigational skills is strongly recommended.
