At an altitude of 670 metres, Mjolfjell Youth and Family Hostel is beautifully located, with easy access by train to very popular tourist destinations such as Voss, Myrdal and Flam. There are good opportunities for walks, hunting and fishing. The hostel produces its own electricity at its recently restored power station from 1914! This is Norway’s first purpose-built youth hostel, built in 1939. In the summertime the hostel has its own outdoor (heated) pool.

The hostel offers different kinds of accommodation; single, double, and family rooms. Single bed in a multi-bedded room (sharing with people of the same sex) is also available. Good self catering facilities
