Beautifully located on the west coast of Norway, Bergen is the region’s capital as well as the gateway to the fjords. As one of the oldest towns in the country, Bergen offers a unique combination of historical sights and modern day city life. In addition to shopping, theatre and concerts, you can visit a large variety of museums and other popular tourist destinations – most of which are within walking distance due to the town’s small, yet eventful centre. The 16th century harbour side "Bryggen", with its famous wooden buildings, has been featured on UNESCO’s World Heritage List for over 30 years, and is among Norway’s most visited attractions. Close to “Bryggen” you will also find the famous Fish Market, and from here you’re only 2 minutes from the funicular “Fløibanen”, which will take you to the top of Mount Fløyen in less than 10 minutes. This is one of the seven mountains surrounding the city, and it is an excellent starting point for hikes, both in the summer and in the winter.
The hostel is situated in the heart of Bergen, only a few minutes from the mentioned Fish market and “Bryggen”.
The hostel offers different kinds of accommodation; single, double, and family rooms. Single bed in a multi-bedded room (sharing with people of the same sex) is also available. Good self catering facilities.
