The hostel is located at the end of Norway’s longest fjord, the Sognefjord. Flåm is also the end of the famous Flåm railway line, one of Norway’s most popular attractions and one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. The hostel is a very good starting point for mountain walking and biking in Flåmsdalen, Aurlandsdalen and along the Nærøyfjord, which is on the World Heritage List. There are also guided kayak tours on the fjord. Are you interested in culture, we suggest Otternes Bygdetun, The Flåm Railway Documentation Centre, Aurland shoefabric, You can also visit the Viking Valley, where you can row a Viking boat on the fjord. Furthermore, there is the Gudvangen Vikingmarked, and "the Aurland walk".
You can rent bikes at the hostel or buy a fishing permit card to fish for trout in the mountain lakes. The hostel does not serve breakfast, but there is a guest kitchen. There is a short 5 minute walk to the grocery store, cafeterias and restaurants.
The Hostel offers different kinds of accommodation; single, double, and family rooms. Single bed in a multi-bedded room (sharing with people of the same sex) is also available
