The Sunndalsora Youth and Family Hostel was built by the English "salmon tourist", Lord Phillip, in 1896. There are excellent opportunities for trout fishing in the river, with boats available for rent. The hostel also sells fishing licenses. The Sunndalsora hostel can organize tours, e.g. white water rafting, mountain climbing, and glacier walking, as well as guided tours to historic places and mighty waterfalls in the area.

The hostel offers different kinds of accommodation; single, double, and family rooms. Single bed in a multi-bedded room (sharing with people of the same sex) is also available. Good self catering facilities
