How to get here
The Atlantic Road
is located between the towns of Molde and Kristiansund and is 36 Km in length between Kårvåg and Bud.
Follow route 64. From Kristiansund, drive through The Atlantic Tunnel to Averøya and follow the signs towards Molde. The sign for The Atlantic Road says in Norwegian "Atlanterhavsvegen".
From Molde, follow route 64 to Bud.
There are good connections to the two nearby towns Molde
(MOL) and Kristiansund
(KSU). Rent a car from here or continue by bus.
The coastal steamer Hurtigruten
arranges popular excursions on The Atlantic Road starting in Kristiansund and returning to Hurtigruten in Molde.
Arriving from Trondheim: travel by boat with Kystekspressen, which takes you from Trondheim to Kristiansund in 3 hours.
By Rail and Bus
You can go by train to the nearest railway stations, either by the spectacular Raumabanen
to Åndalsnes and further on by bus, or travel with Dovrebanen to Oppdal and continue by bus to Kristiansund.
