8lanco – Norway’s Next Global Pop Star

23 years old. Independent. Unstoppable.

8lanco is not just one of the most exciting new voices in Norwegian music – he is a rare talent on a rapid rise. In next to no time, he has gone from being discovered by Stargate and completing their prestigious music programme in Los Angeles to building a huge fanbase entirely independently, on his own terms. The results speak for themselves: millions of streams without major-label backing, and songs that have won over both audiences and critics.

“Actress” received a five-out-of-six rating from Dagsavisen, while “Hell of It” was named Song of the Year by Puls Magasinet. His unique connection with fans is reflected in the numbers: over 100,000 followers across platforms, including an explosive 60,000 new followers in just the past few months as he teased his forthcoming album, alongside more than 10 million views and over one million interactions.

Momentum behind his debut album is building fast, and 2026 marks the beginning of his international journey. With a strong team behind him, including Live Nation in the UK, Germany and Austria, the first dates of his debut UK and European tour have already been booked for the end of the year, with more to follow as demand continues to grow.

His distinctive sound, inspired by the songwriters of the 1960s and 70s, such as Billy Joel and The Beatles, blends seamlessly with 8lanco’s honest reflections on life in today’s society. The result is a sound that feels both timeless and fresh – especially from such a young artist. Add to that his decision to record the entire album with a full live band at a time dominated by AI and digital production, and it’s easy to see why some of the biggest names in the music industry are now taking notice.

Globally renowned record labels and industry players including Republic, Island Records, Warner, Universal, Interscope and Capitol Records are all knocking on his door. Everything points in one direction: Norway is on the verge of producing a global male pop star capable of competing with the biggest names on the international stage.
