Erlend Gunstveit brings Nashville home for Christmas
Spellemann Award-nominated country artist Erlend Gunstveit is based in Nashville – and this Christmas, he is bringing two Nashville musicians, Nathalya Kay (fiddle) and Josh Karas (keys), home to Norway for a Christmas tour entitled A Very Nashville Christmas.
On the Christmas tour, audiences will see Erlend fronting his trio. With his distinctive voice and passion for storytelling, he will take audiences on a musical journey through classic Norwegian and American Christmas songs, alongside selections from his new album. The songs will be woven together with the stories behind them and insights into life as a songwriter, musician and artist in Nashville.
The result will be a warm and atmospheric pre-Christmas evening, musically rooted in America while celebrating familiar and cherished Norwegian traditions.
About Erlend Gunstveit
Erlend Gunstveit grew up in Southern Norway and worked as a landscape gardener before music became his full-time calling.
In 2021, he won The Voice Norway, becoming the first country artist to win a Norwegian televised talent competition in the genre. Through hard work in Nashville, Erlend has collaborated with musicians and producers and performed at iconic venues such as the Bluebird Cafe, Station Inn and Third & Lindsley, to name just a few.
After several years of memorable experiences in the United States – most recently performing at CMA Fest in Nashville in June 2026, as well as at stadiums in Boston, New Jersey and Miami ahead of Norway’s World Cup matches in July – there is no shortage of experiences and stories to share from the stage.
Erlend has released three albums, and his previous record, Watch Me Fall, received a Spellemann Award nomination in 2025.
On 29 August, he releases his fourth album, 16th Avenue, recorded at the legendary Sound Kitchen studio in Franklin, just outside Nashville. The album features contributions from country music stars including Pam Tillis, Jimmy Fortune, Wendy Moten and Craig Wayne Boyd, winner of The Voice USA.
