Bodil Rørtveit takes autumn 2026 out on a solo tour with her critically acclaimed vocal project - a concert experience that envelops and touches something deeply human.
With the voice as the only instrument, Rørtveit creates beautiful and atmospheric music without words, inspired by the sea, forest and West Norwegian nature. Through live looping she builds layer upon layer of voice, and shapes an entire vocal orchestra in real time. The result is a rare concert experience where the audience is drawn into a room of intimacy, stillness and intense presence. Together with sound designer Thorolf Thuestad the concert is lifted to an enveloping 360-degree surround sound experience that blurs the boundaries between stage and hall.
In spring 2025 Rørtveit debuted as a solo artist with the album DJUPNA, a contemplative and expressive album. The album was met with glowing reviews both nationally and internationally, and was named one of the best albums of 2025 by reviewer Maja Skanding in Bergens Tidende.
DJUPNA is a search for calm, belonging and the most authentic in humanity – a quiet but powerful artistic statement. Now she takes this universe onto the stage. With a unique ability to communicate and an expression that balances the vulnerable and the grand, Bodil Rørtveit invites audiences into an experience that must be felt – not just heard.
