Welcome to the Launch of Caregiver Burnout – Tools for Those Who Care for Others

Monday 7 September at 7.00 pm, the launch of Caregiver Burnout – Tools for Those Who Care for Others will take place at Spor 5.

After several years of work, the book is finally here. Caregiver Burnout – Tools for Those Who Care for Others explores something many people experience but few speak openly about: what happens when, over time, more care is given than received?

The book is written for everyone in a caring role – family carers, healthcare professionals, teachers, leaders, volunteers and anyone who regularly supports others. It is for those who are skilled at caring for others but may have forgotten to care for themselves along the way.

The evening will feature a conversation with neuroreflexologist and author Annette Løno, exploring the themes at the heart of the book: care, responsibility, stress, love, boundaries and finding the way back to oneself after spending a long time caring for others.

Guests will also enjoy a special performance by Randi Tytingvåg Trio, whose distinctive music will help create a warm and memorable atmosphere.

Copies of the book will be available to purchase, with a book signing following the event.

Admission is free, but places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

The event will be interpreted into Norwegian Sign Language.

Doors open at 6.30 pm, and the author conversation begins at 7.00 pm.

The book has grown out of encounters with people in demanding caring roles, personal experience as a family carer, and many years of professional practice as a psychologist. This launch marks the end of one journey and the beginning of another, as the book reaches its readers.

Welcome!
