Byorkesteret is a musical concept at Bekkis, featuring a regular house band that invites a special guest to perform each time.
Camilla Myrås is an acclaimed singer and songwriter from Stavanger, known for her beautiful voice and musical versatility. During Maijazz several years ago, she was already described as the region’s finest voice.
Camilla’s music career really took off in 1994, when she performed in the spectacular Talentiaden final at Oslo Spektrum and later took part in the Norwegian Eurovision selection, Melodi Grand Prix.
Since then, Camilla has been a prominent figure in the local music scene. She has explored a wide range of musical styles, including pop, jazz, showband, theatre productions, musicals and classical music.
One of the highlights of her career was performing as a soloist with the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra at the opening of the new Stavanger Concert Hall in 2012, where she performed Janove Ottesen’s impressive commissioned work.
Camilla has released the albums Diving with Dionysos, Papa Can You Hear Me and Linedanser, as well as several singles.
