Kakejazz Riksteatret

Have you ever been home alone and baked a cake without a recipe? That is exactly what it feels like when Riksteatret invites audiences of all ages to the exuberant family show "Kakejazz" (Cake Jazz). Get ready for a cake party, chaos, and creative antics.

The Grytebust family is about to bake a cake when the phone rings! It’s a call from the jazz club "Den blå mugge" (The Blue Mold). A jazz band has cancelled, and now Mom and Dad are needed on stage immediately. The moment the door closes behind them, a wonderful new opportunity arises. Now the children can bake exactly the cake they want and mix in absolutely anything! But what happens when they empty the urn containing Grandpa into the batter?

"Kakejazz" bubbles over with humor, rhythm, and inventiveness. Director Gunnar Eiriksson is a clever and playful director who knows exactly what it takes to make children lean forward in their seats and get the adults laughing along.

And who knows—you might even get a taste of the cake!

Suitable for children aged 5 and up.
