This year’s first Day Trip Concert takes place on Sunday 22 March
Cantus Vitale invites you to a Day Trip Concert at Nuten on Sunday 22 March
Haugesund marks the start of this year’s Day Trip Concerts when Cantus Vitale performs at the Nuten day trip cabin on Sunday 22 March at 2.00 pm. The concert is one of the first in a series of 27 open-air concerts at day trip huts in nine municipalities in Rogaland. This is the first time the day trip huts have been used as concert venues in a comprehensive concert series, and the project combines nature and voluntary music-making in a way that has not been done before in Rogaland.
Haugesund Music Council is organising the concert at Nuten. The entire concert series has been initiated by Rogaland Music Council in collaboration with local music and culture councils. The aim of the Day Trip Concerts is to highlight the voluntary music scene and create accessible meeting places out in nature.
Audiences can make the trip to Nuten and combine their Sunday outing with a unique open-air concert experience featuring the chamber choir Cantus Vitale. The concert lasts 30 minutes and is free and open to all.
The Day Trip Cabins are popular hiking destinations that are now also becoming venues for culture. They are situated in various landscapes and offer the public a choice of options, from short walks to longer routes. The concerts take place outdoors by the cabins, where nature becomes part of the experience.
