After a ten-year hiatus, the Bergen-based band has made a blazing comeback – releasing not one, but two brand new albums.

Their mythical live shows – featuring 4-meter-tall dancing velour creatures, irresistibly danceable synth-pop, and quirky West Norwegian lyrics – have earned rave six-star reviews from Gaffa and Stavanger Aftenblad. Their fifth studio album Sjelden vare has just dropped to glowing reviews, and 2026 is shaping up to be another year of pure, euphoric joy on stages across clubs and festivals!

From 2004 to 2014, Casiokids went on a wild journey around the globe, performing thousands of shows in nearly 40 countries. Tracks like Fot i hose, Finn bikkjen, and En vill hest were played frequently on BBC, Radio France, and U.S. college radio. Signed to Universal, Moshi Moshi, and Polyvinyl, the band received multiple Spellemann nominations, a 1 million NOK grant from A-ha, and international praise from heavyweights like Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and NME – who called them “the best thing to come out of Norway since black metal.”

Then came a ten-year siesta as the members explored new musical horizons. Vocalist Fredrik Vogsborg collected three Spellemann Awards and worked with artists such as Aurora, Young Dreams, The Megaphonic Thrift, Silja Sol, Strange Hellos, Real Ones, Hjerteslag, and Amazing Space.

In 2024, the band finally returned with the critically acclaimed comeback album Tid for hjem on Jansen Records – and have now followed up with the fresh and vibrant Sjelden vare. Casiokids are ready to unleash both beloved classics and new favorites on stages at home and abroad. This is a live experience you simply can’t miss!
