Arnt Even Bøe, author, former journalist and experienced speaker.
Drawing on his powerful and personal book Kjærlighetens pris (The Price of Love), Arnt Even shares the story of what happened to him and his wife, Eli, after she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at just 51 years old. Nineteen years later came a diagnosis of dementia, leaving her with just two and a half years to live.
The talk explores illnesses that relentlessly and without respite devastated two closely intertwined lives. But it is also a story about hope, care and love.
Arnt Even addresses themes that affect us all: What does love cost when life becomes difficult? How do we find the strength to endure challenging times? And how can compassion and care create light in the darkness? These themes are closely connected to the values at the heart of our production: love, reconciliation and warmth. Can the same values and experiences be applied to challenges and successes in working life?
This will be a morning offering space for reflection, inspiration and meaningful encounters between people.
