Did you enjoy Singel & Sand or the hit TV series Heim? Then this is the show for you!
Claus Sellevoll is known as a comedian, actor and farmer. When he invites us into his home, he opens the door to a place with many different rooms and stories. There's the porch lined with muddy boots and oilskins, a formal sitting room for special occasions, and a cosy everyday living room. Some rooms are filled with light, while others hide shadows in the corners. And in the kitchen, you're far more likely to be served traditional Norwegian comfort food than sushi or vegetarian cuisine.
In Come Home with Me, Claus moves effortlessly between comedy and poignancy. Much of the show is inspired by the colourful characters he has met in his hometown of Alversund and by the rich traditions and distinctive culture of Norway's coastal communities.
This year marks 20 years since his stage debut—fittingly at Ole Bull Scene, where it all began. Come Home with Me is written by Claus Sellevoll in collaboration with director Arvid Ones. Joining him on stage are Vidar Eldholm on piano and Bjarte Aasmul on guitar.
