Marie Hovda – “Free Bird”
Fresh from the release of the new album Free Bird, Marie Hovda comes to Frøyland Orstad on Saturday 14 November. The album has received an excellent response, including praise such as “goosebumps” and “rock-solid” from an Aftenbladet reviewer. The album is described as a “journey to freedom”, with the songs following a thematic thread from feeling trapped to becoming free.
The evening presents the songs in an intimate and close-up setting, with Marie Hovda at the piano, Nora Asheim and Gro Austgulen on violin, Magnhild Mo on cello and Magnus Rød Haugland on double bass.
Everything is in place for a beautiful and unique musical experience, combining strong melodies, intimacy and musical interplay.
