‘Der går grensen!’ explores how conflicts between neighbours can escalate, and how strong reactions are triggered when someone feels they have been steamrolled. Although the punishment for moving boundary stones is no longer hard labour for life, it can still have serious consequences.
The fascination with neighbourly conflicts
Ane Skumsvoll takes a close look at everything to do with property boundaries, personal boundaries and the deep irritation that can arise between neighbours. She explores what drives us when we want to defend what is ours.
The neighbour's true face
As the ‘neighbour's wife’, Skumsvoll shares her passion for stealth parenting and invites the audience to join the community through voluntary work and singing. On stage, she is accompanied by Håkon Moe, the currently friendly neighbour who provides the musical expression for the performance.
