Exhibition with the well-known textile artist John Raustein. Raustein works with conceptual art projects with themes such as identity, memories, expectations and queer culture.
In recent years his works have been exhibited at among others Nasjonalmuseet and KODE. He is also featured in the exhibition KUNST-HÅND-VERK at KODE.
The exhibition "der hvor det som er sant er funnet på" is the second part of a trilogy in which Raustein examines identity, memory, colour and bodily perception through textile as a medium. Using the construction site as a metaphor he creates monumental installations that explore transition, vulnerability and belonging.
The exhibition will be shown at Galleri Salhus, Tekstilindustrimuseet i Bergen, 5 June – 30 August 2026. Opening Friday 5 June at 17:00.
The artist has received support for the exhibition from Kulturrådet, Billedkunstnernes Vederlagsfond and Regionale prosjektmidler for visuell kunst.
