Det Betales – Celebrating 50 Years of The Beatles
In 2026, Det Betales from Drammen, led by Tor Henning Olsen, celebrate their 50th anniversary with a special jubilee tour.
The band has performed more than 50 concerts at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool and was described by Beatles manager Alan Williams as “the best Beatles tribute band in the world”. The praise was not based on physical resemblance to The Beatles, but on their energy, musicianship, humour and genuine love for the music.
Tor’s son, Joachim, has now joined the band as lead vocalist, bringing youthful energy to the group. The core band members have played together since 1999, developing their own distinctive style and interpretation of The Beatles’ timeless songs. They have also performed with symphony orchestras across Norway, earning top reviews on several occasions.
The concert features many of The Beatles’ greatest hits, including Twist and Shout, She Loves You, Ticket to Ride, Help!, A Hard Day’s Night, Yesterday, Penny Lane, Hey Jude, All You Need Is Love and many more.
