BIOGRAPHY:
Didrik Solli-Tangen (born 1987) is a classically trained singer educated at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo. He achieved his national breakthrough in 2010 when he won the Norwegian final of Melodi Grand Prix with the song “My Heart Is Yours.” In autumn 2017, he took part in Stjernekamp on NRK, finishing in second place. In 2021, he won Maskorama on NRK disguised as the “Snow Monster,” with the final watched by more than 1.2 million viewers.
For over ten years, Didrik’s powerful voice has moved audiences across Norway, including the Royal Family. His first original Christmas song, “Det Skal Bli Jul,” was A-listed on NRK P1, and he has performed to sold-out concert halls throughout the country. In 2024, he released the album “O Holy Night” together with the Norwegian Broadcasting Orchestra.
