Elle Melle consists of Odd Erik Ognedal, Svein Hyttebakk and Jon Konrad Strøm. The band released their debut album on Kirkelig Kulturverksted in 1996, followed by a second album on the same label in 1998; they received the Prøysen Prize in 2000 and were nominated for the Edvard Prize in 2001. elle melle have over 10 million streams on streaming services, and for over 25 years, songs from their extensive catalogue have been played on radio stations across the country.
Most people will recognise songs such as ‘Frokost På Kafe’, ‘Ikkje Vekk Meg Når Du Går’, ‘På Denne Tiå Her I Fjor’, ‘Du Sko Vært Her Nå’, ‘Ser Du Då At Eg E Din’, and not least the instant classic ‘Himmelhøge Sti’.
But the trio also perform newer or lesser-known songs, including the single ‘Emigrant’, recorded and released in June 2025 with Trygve Skaug as their duet partner!
