Zum Hauptinhalt

'Evig ung’ is a musical comedy full of rock “n” roll, warmth and deadly cheeky humour. Decades after their heyday as actors, Hege Schøyen, Ingar Helge Gimle, Henrik Mestad, Hilde Lyrån, Paul-Ottar Haga and Gisle Børge Styve have moved into a nursing home. The building, formerly known as the venerable Sandnes Cultural Centre, has now been transformed to cater to the town's ageing population.

Here, the ancient actors have settled down to enjoy their twilight years and reminisce about a time long gone. The monotonous daily routine is only broken when the strict nurse, played by Mari Kjølstad, starts singing songs and conducting condescending activation exercises such as head, shoulders, knees and toes. Because that's what old people like, right?

The gang may have long since passed 90, but they refuse to fade away. One day, the seniors have had enough. As soon as the nurse turns her back, their inner rebels are awakened with a primal force that has survived since their heyday in the theatre. It turns out that there is still a lot of life left in their old bodies, and they are not as resigned as they appear. Because even though it can be tough to grow old, you can still feel like a 25-year-old and want to play the leading role in your own life – one last time.

‘Forever Young’ is a musical comedy with punch about growing old, packed with deadly cheeky humour and a tongue-in-cheek take on our times. The audience can look forward to a string of well-known pop and rock songs from the last 50 years, with fitting titles such as ‘Stayin Alive’, ‘Forever Young’ and ‘I Will Survive’. Welcome to a unique blend of humour, warmth, musical interludes and reflection that will touch your heart.
