Family Saturdays at Sola Library
Every Saturday, Sola Library arranges activities and experiences for children and families. Some events require a free ticket. Tickets are released on the Monday before each event at 9:00 am.

Grandparents’ Day
A day full of experiences for both children and adults.
Popcornteateret will create an improvised performance together with children, where anything can happen. Show times: 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm.
The library and foyer will host craft workshops and activities that inspire creativity across generations. The event is open to everyone, including those without grandparents or grandchildren.

A Fox Behind the Ear
Through stories and fables, the fox is revealed as a clever trickster. The bear, the farmer’s wife and even the crow in the tree are all fooled. Recommended age: 3–7 years.

Winnie-the-Pooh’s Birthday
The Winnie-the-Pooh books bring joy to both children and adults. Bring a cuddly toy and join the celebration of Winnie-the-Pooh’s 100th birthday with activities and a craft workshop. Part of Kulturnatt in Sola.

Festival de Barriletes Gigantes
Every year, a large kite festival called Festival de Barriletes Gigantes takes place in Guatemala. The festival is held on All Saints’ Day, 1 November, to honour the dead. Local residents create large, colourful kites to remember family and friends who have passed away.
Learn more about this tradition and help create the tail of the kite.

Discover animals that seem almost impossible to be real. Did you know there is a fish with feet that can walk along the seabed, and a crab with legs that are almost four metres long?
Create your own fantasy creature with huge eyes, tiny teeth or other imaginative details.

The Library Mystery
Evidence and clues have been collected, but the mystery needs help to be solved. Become a detective for a day and find the culprit.

The Ash Lad’s Christmas
The Ash Lad is preparing for Christmas, but with a silly barn elf and a clever fox nearby, everything takes longer than planned. Will the Christmas tree be ready before Father Christmas arrives?
The performance is created and performed by Askeladden Friteater. Suitable for children aged 3 to 100.
