Roar Brekke celebrates 30 years on stage with an anniversary show.
It is nearly 30 years since Roar Brekke stepped onto the stage for the very first time — in 1996. What was originally meant to be a one-off performance has grown into a lifelong career filled with laughter, stories and unforgettable moments.
Since his debut, Brekke has delivered more than 2,000 performances, created four full-length shows, and entertained tens of thousands of audience members who have experienced his distinctive blend of humour, warmth and quietly observant wit. Throughout his long career, he has performed at almost every kind of venue in Western Norway — pubs, village halls, youth clubs, cultural centres and even outdoor stages.
Now he returns with a new production:
For å si det sånn (To Put It That Way)
This new comedy show once again demonstrates the full range of his humour. There will be dancing, parodies, sketches and physical comedy, proving once more that stand-up can be far more than simply one man and a microphone.
“I never imagined that the first time I stepped onto a stage would lead to this. But one evening became two, and two became a thousand. The most important thing for me has always been the joy and sense of connection in meeting the audience,” says Brekke.
