Zum Hauptinhalt

This guided tour explores the school's fascinating history and offers a look at the new exhibitions.

Bergen's old Latin school building was inaugurated in 1706, making it the oldest school building still standing in Norway.

The school's most famous student is undoubtedly Ludvig Holberg, who left the school for the last time on the dramatic day in 1702, when large parts of Bergen were reduced to ashes.

We have recently renovated the interiors, both in the school section and the rector's residence, and we have brought in a number of beautiful objects from the time when the building functioned as a school.

Duration 45-60 minutes.
