A long career in the service of the blues
Hungry John Bernes has been active since the 1960s. He earned his nickname whilst busking in London, and since then he has been part of several bands and projects.
Collaborations and recordings
He has been associated with Bergen Bluesband, Blues Union and Blues Reunion alongside Pete York of the Spencer Davis Group. In the 1980s, he also took part in recordings in Chicago, including with Knut Reiersrud and Blue Shadows.
