Nordvegen History Centre invites young and old alike to ‘Jòl på Avaldsnes’, a cosy pre-Christmas day featuring a Christmas tree decoration workshop and family activities.
In the Christmas workshop, participants can explore a wide range of materials and learn to make at least 24 different types of Christmas decorations. There are activities here for both the youngest children and more experienced craft enthusiasts. The workshop focuses on natural materials and old Christmas traditions, and also offers the chance to learn more about how Christmas was celebrated in days gone by.
Christmas treasure hunt and storytelling session
There will be several activities throughout the day, including an outdoor Christmas treasure hunt with a prehistoric twist. At 1.00 pm, there will be a storytelling session.
The café will be selling Christmas porridge, mulled wine and fruit juice. Anyone wishing to take Christmas decorations home can buy handmade decorations for 10 kroner each.
