Zum Hauptinhalt

The Danish journalist and author Charlotte Rørth will give a talk about her own story, the books she has published, and especially the book most people felt she should never have released:

I Met Jesus: Confessions of a Reluctant Believer

“I was neither religious nor spiritually searching when Jesus appeared to me in the sacristy of La Sacra Capilla de El Salvador in the town of Úbeda in Spain. What happened when I returned home? Could I keep my job? Why did I lose almost 20 kilos? Was I now supposed to enter a convent? Would the national church accept me?”

Charlotte was on an assignment when this unexpected event occurred. The rational journalist had to rethink many existential questions afterwards. She remains both modern and rational when, in hundreds of lectures, she asks why many people believe we should keep quiet about faith, while others think it benefits both ourselves and the public conversation if we dare to speak about things no one would have believed…

The evening will include the lecture, a break with coffee and cream puffs, conversation, and the opportunity to get a signed book. The event will conclude with a joint discussion and questions before Charlotte reads a short excerpt from one of her books.
