What is a language-supported guided tour?
Language-supported guided tours are inspired by the language cafés found across Norway. At language cafés, people practise the Norwegian language – and the same applies to language-supported tours.
During the event, a guide from Stavanger Art Museum will lead a tour of one of our exhibitions, together with a resource person who speaks the relevant language. The resource person can answer questions or clarify certain parts of the tour in the participants’ mother tongue, if needed.
After the guided tour, we sit down in the museum café, enjoy a coffee or tea, and talk about what we have seen.
Like language cafés, language-supported guided tours are a low-threshold offer – and you don’t need to know anything about art to take part.
