Two years after a sold-out concert in record time, Leif Ove Andsnes returns to Festiviteten. This time, he invites the audience to an economical and expressive recital spread over two evenings in April 2026.
Three composers – one musical whole
The evening begins with selected pieces by Chopin, before Andsnes tackles György Kurtág's distinctive and intimate Játékok. This is followed by Beethoven's last piano sonata, Sonata No. 32 in C minor, Op. 111 – one of the composer's most groundbreaking works.
Chopin's preludes as a finale
After the interval, Chopin's 24 Preludes, Op. 28, are on the programme. These short, expressive pieces take the audience through a wide musical landscape and demonstrate the composer's range.
Two evenings of great art
The audience will experience the same programme on both evenings – a unique opportunity to hear Leif Ove Andsnes interpret some of the most iconic works in the piano repertoire.
