Jan Arild Snoen is a frequently used commentator on American politics in Norwegian media, and has also published several books on US politics. In Trump and Fascism, he analyses how Trump fits into fascist ideology.
6:45 p.m. What is woke, really?
Woke has become one of the most controversial phenomena of our time. In his book Wokeism: Liberal Democracy's New Challenger, sociologist Lars Erik L. Gjerde examines wokeism as a political ideology, and this lecture is based on the book.
8:00 p.m. Democracy in crisis
Bernt Hagtvet is a political scientist with a particular interest in the history and sociology of political movements, as well as democracy and human rights studies. He will conclude the conference with a lecture entitled The crisis of democracy in today's world: causes, effects, prospects.
The conference is sold as a combined ticket for all three lectures at NOK 150.
