The Joy of Life Festival 2026
The Joy of Life Festival 2026 celebrates everything that brings joy to life, offering a rich programme combining music, food, culture, and social experiences for both young and old. The festival brings together local and visiting contributors to create engaging experiences that inspire, entertain, and foster a sense of community.
The programme spans four days and features a wide variety of activities. Thursday opens with a literary lunch at Time Library and the performance Songskattane at Storstova. Friday focuses on both businesses and seniors with events such as a Joy of Life breakfast and a Joy of Life lunch, while the evening programme includes stand-up comedy with Dag Sørås and a Joy of Life dinner with Father Pollestad.
Saturday is a full day of activities for the whole family, with crafts and creative workshops at the Garborg Centre, music for young children at the library, and theatre activities with Interesnyj Teatrik. Bryne Mill will host exciting attractions including a photography club, flame show, Viking experiences, and Science Circus, alongside music and entertainment from local bands and blues concerts. Visitors can also explore exhibitions and artworks presented by Bryne Art Association and Time Arts School.
Sunday concludes the festival with a family-focused church service at Bryne Church, an art walk in the town centre, and more active experiences such as ice swimming at Melsvatn. The festival offers opportunities to enjoy culture, music, and community in welcoming and inclusive surroundings.
The festival is organised by Time Municipality, with Bryne Chamber of Commerce as co-organiser. The Joy of Life Festival 2026 provides a unique mix of entertainment, learning, and social meeting places, putting the joy of life at the heart of the celebration.
