An album that left its mark

When ‘Reasons to Hang Around’ was released in January 2006, it was acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. The album went straight to number two on the VG-lista chart, went gold and gave the band four major radio hits: ‘Let the Night Begin’, ‘Come Back to Me’, “Supergirl” and ‘Alison’.

International attention

The song ‘Wish You'd Hold That Smile’ became an unexpected radio hit in France, opening the doors to a new audience outside Norway. The album was named one of the best releases of the year and won the Spellemann Award for Best Pop Group in 2007.

A band with lasting appeal

Vocalist and songwriter Pål Angelskår describes ‘Reasons to Hang Around’ as Minor Majority's most influential album – a work that continues to captivate both loyal fans and new listeners.
