Information
We at the Kristiansund Symphony Orchestra now invite you to our first May 17th gala concert in the Bræin Opera Hall in Normoria!

On the occasion of the big day, we have invited one of Norway's best pianists, the young up-and-coming Sigmund Skjeldrum Toppe, to perform Grieg's fantastic Piano Concerto in A minor with us. This will be the first piano concert with an orchestra on Normoria's new grand piano!

For us, May 17th means a deep dive into the Norwegian world. We have chosen two pieces inspired by plays based on folk tales: Halvorsen's Fairy Tales (Peik and Stortroldet by Hiorth) and excerpts from Sæverud's Music for Peer Gynt. But we are not giving up on traditions either. We can promise a sing-along for both the National Anthem and Kristiansund's town song.

We are also very happy to have Kjell Seim as conductor for this first of many Gala Concerts in Normoria. Welcome to a great gala concert in the Bræin Opera Hall!

Conductor: Kjell Seim

Piano soloist: Sigmund Skjeldrum Toppe

Children and young people up to 19 years of age have free admission but must collect a free ticket.
