Os Kammerkor turns 50, and invites you to an anniversary concert on Saturday 7 November in the foyer at Oseana!
We offer varied music from the choir's history, as well as performances from talented soloists. With us on this day we have our conductor, Turid Moberg Kirkbride, soloist Marius Dale Romslo, Victoria Bakka and pupils from Musikkskulen.
About us
The choir was founded in 1976 by a group of song-loving Os residents who had been singing together since 1973. Since then the chamber choir has left its mark on musical life in the community, in addition to having held a number of concerts both at home and abroad.
The first conductor was Henrik Lyssand who has also composed and arranged much for the choir. In 1989 Jan Ove Petersen took over the baton and passed it on to Karina Tøtlandsmo in 2003. Marius Dale Romslo was our inspiring leader from 2007 until 2015. Trent Bruner led us through an inspiring year in 2015. Ann Elisabeth Tveit took over the baton in 2016 and has led us through several major projects and tours both at home and abroad.
In 2022 we got a new conductor, Turid Moberg Kirkbride, who is a trained singer and works with music education in Bjørnafjorden municipality.
