Zum Hauptinhalt

Hanne Øverland and Sidsel Palmstrøm explore textile materials that carry both poetic and conceptual layers. In the meeting between colors, networks, and structures, they create an exhibition that reflects the relationship between nature, technology, and human presence.

Exhibition opens Sunday October 12 at 14:00.

Øverland presents works based on color nuances from endangered bird and butterfly species in Norway. Through techniques such as embroidery, tufting, and printing, she translates the characteristic colors of these species into abstract textile portraits that highlight the vulnerability and richness of nature.

Palmstrøm shows objects and installations where the net functions both as form and metaphor. The handmade nets of natural fiber suggest the intangible, while nylon nets driven by small motors open up associations with technology, consumption, and the invisible connections of contemporary life.
Together, the artists create a whole that addresses diversity, structure, and fragility – a space for reflection on what binds us together, and what we risk losing.
