Poetica celebrates 15 years together at Tribute
Poetica returns to Tribute, this time to celebrate 15 years together as a band!
The melodic metal band, known for its contrasting vocal styles, was founded in Stavanger in 2011 and released its debut album, Somnus Tormentum, in 2013.
The following years saw several line-up changes, leading up to the release of the singles “Awakened” in 2020 and “Hollow Eyes” in 2021.
The band was particularly active until 2017, performing as local support for Enslaved at Folken in Stavanger and appearing at Brynerocken Beinkaldt in 2013, among other shows.
In the years that followed, the focus shifted towards songwriting and studio work due to growing families and studies, before the band returned to the stage in 2024.
Alongside their live performances, Poetica have released several new tracks digitally. These include the EP Rebirth and the hard-hitting single “The Strive” in 2025, which has continued to gain traction on streaming platforms since its release.
In 2026, the band released the single “King of Thieves”, accompanied by a music video documenting some of their live activity over recent years. A new single, “One More Minute”, is due for release soon.
