Slam poet, actor and dramatist Fredrik Høyer has written and performs in this touching, funny and deeply human monologue. The performance balances the everyday and the mythical, creating a strong sense of recognition for the audience - whether you're a teacher, parent, student or just a human being.
What happens when you suddenly find yourself alone in front of a class and realise that you don't have the answers, neither as a teacher nor as a human being? In this unique performance, we meet substitute teacher Kristian, played by Fredrik Høyer, who uses humour, warmth and poetry to explore the big questions of school and life.
A different kind of teacher story
Being a teacher is more than just teaching. It means juggling the roles of psychologist, lecturer, stand-up comedian and child educator, while learning something new about yourself every day. The performance "Jeg venter til det blir stille" takes us into the classroom and deeper into the mind of substitute teacher Kristian, who is faced with both a fifth grade class and his own inner chaos.
How long does the performance last?
The performance lasts for two school lessons, i.e. approx. 3 hours (including recess).
