29-year-old Ruben Markussen grew up on the small island of Bjarkøy in Troms – a place with few inhabitants but plenty of creative expression. As a child, Ruben first dreamed of becoming a scientist, then an electrician. He was always curious to dig deep, create, and understand how things are connected. He would take apart electronic toys and reassemble them into new ones. Ruben didn’t become a scientist or an electrician. On Bjarkøy, his interest grew in dance, video, music video production, and later, music production. His passion for digging deep, creating, and understanding has stayed with him.
