Sawdust Symphony invites the audience into a unique ‘do-it-yourself’ experience, where ideas are formed, broken down and rebuilt. Through manically focused characters, the process from thought to finished construction is explored – both in the room and in the human being itself.
This is a physically and visually powerful performing arts production where craftsmanship, fresh wood and object manipulation take centre stage. The performance moves between satisfaction and frustration, accompanied by the sound – and smell – of creative work.
Behind the performance are Michael Zandl, David Eisele and Kolja Huneck. All three trained at Codarts Circus Arts and have come together in a collective driven by a shared passion for building, creating and exploring the tangible on stage.
