Show Pony takes the audience behind the scenes of the circus world, where three women ask the question: What happens when the body no longer follows the dream? With both warmth and self-irony, they explore life's transition from stage lights to self-insight.
Between reality and fantasy
The performance combines narrative theatre with acrobatics, contortion, straps and object manipulation. What starts as a glimpse into the life of an artist develops into an open and courageous reflection on age, the traces of childhood and the importance of friendship.
A tribute to female strength
Show Pony was created by the Berlin-based company still hungry in collaboration with performance artist Bryony Kimmings. The performance follows up on the success of Raven from 2019 and challenges society's view of age and femininity – both in the circus and in life.
A performance that hits home
Full of love, humour and rebellion, Show Pony is a powerful reminder that a person's value is not measured by age, but by the courage to continue – on their own terms.
