A somewhat forgotten but ambitious historical drama depicting a politically radical journalist who becomes involved in the communist revolution in Russia in the hope of bringing idealism back home to America.
Along with Beatty's inspiring direction, ‘Reds’ is carried by the performances of Beatty himself, Diane Keaton, Maureen Stapleton and Jack Nicholson. It won three Oscars, including Best Director for Warren Beatty.
