Stig Nilsson Trio

The songwriter, artist, author and playwright Stig Nilsson has put together a trio that performs his songs in acoustic versions.

The man behind the lyrics for musicals such as Donna Bacalao, Lady Arbuthnott, Købermysteriet, Snømannland and Sundbåten Syver and 15 book publications behind him also has a significant songwriter catalog with more than 400 works registered, written for his own record releases and for artists such as Jørn Hoel, Frode Alnæs, Sissel Kyrkjebø and a number of others.

Award-winning artist
Stig Nilsson has been awarded the NOPA prize "Work of the Year", the Prøysen prize, the Nordea cultural prize and the County Cultural Prize for Møre og Romsdal for his work with performing cultural workers.

A cultural Kinderegg

- I am very proud to play together with the two gentlemen Jon Thorstensen and Torgny Braaten. Great musicians. They represent both great skill on their guitars and bring impulses into the arrangement of my songs that give them more depth and color, and I look forward to presenting this to the audience this fall, says Nilsson.
- Torgny, for example, has sung in Sølvguttene and is a graduate of visual arts. Jon has made a name for himself in several jazz genres and in collaboration with poets and writers. I myself have a lot of experience from both folk culture and musical theater. Maybe we can call ourselves a cultural Kinderegg? says Nilsson.

Come and experience a unique musical catalog in Normoria when the Stig Nilsson trio takes over Hauk lillesal in November.
