Sigri Sandberg's book Det året eg vakna: kva skjer med naturen – og med oss? (The Year I Woke Up: What Happens to Nature – and to Us?) and Edmund Austigard's novel Hvítrheimr both depict the loss of nature and climate change. The authors will talk to Bothild Å. Nordsletten about their books, the battle for natural resources and fears about the consequences of nature steadily losing ground.
Sigrid Sandberg is a freelance journalist and author. Edmund Austigard is an author and director at Samlaget. Bothild Å. Nordsletten is editor of Bondevennen and co-founder of the Jorddøgn literature festival.
‘Sandberg writes vividly and personally, and "Det året eg vakna" sharpens the reader's awareness of how the climate crisis is creeping into everyday life and changing our lives.’ - Marius Wulfsberg, Dagbladet
‘This novel makes me want to run out into nature, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and float elegantly over the marsh like a “myrgjengar”.’ Ellen Sofie Lauritzen, NRK on the novel Hvítrheimr.
This event will be in Norwegian.
