The hit musical Annie Jr. returns to Randaberg's Varen Cultural Stage!
The most charming family musical of all time is back! Annie has delighted audiences ever since its world premiere in 1976. Annie Jr. is a shortened version of the original Broadway musical, featuring local performers under the age of 18.
Annie Jr. is a story about the importance of hope, optimism and believing in yourself. No matter how grey things may seem, you must never give up, but hold on to the belief that things will get better.
“We’ll be back for her soon,” reads the note left by Annie’s parents when they abandoned her as a baby on the steps of an orphanage. Eleven years later, Annie still believes that her parents will come back for her. “Tomorrow” is what she tells herself every night.
Life at the orphanage, run by the heartless Miss Hannigan, is far from happy for Annie and the other children. But Annie never loses her positive outlook. Before long, she befriends Sandy, a stray dog, and gets the opportunity to visit billionaire Oliver Warbucks. He offers a generous reward to anyone who can find Annie’s parents.
