Torgeir Waldemar Embarks on His Biggest Tour Yet
With the critically acclaimed 2024 album MERCY still fresh in mind and a new series of songs on the way, Torgeir Waldemar is embarking on his biggest Norwegian tour to date. No fewer than 26 venues across Norway will welcome him from February to April, inviting audiences into an intimate and intense musical universe.
Since his breakthrough in 2014, Torgeir Waldemar has become one of Norway’s most acclaimed artists within folk rock and Americana, known for his uncompromising approach, profound lyrics and powerful ability to connect with an audience. The album LOVE (2020) was grand and layered, characterised by expansive arrangements and raw energy. With MERCY, Waldemar took a step towards a more intimate expression – recorded live to tape with just two musicians, vulnerable and direct, and celebrating both the light and darker sides of human nature.
The tour marks a new chapter for Waldemar, introducing audiences to new songs while also celebrating the breadth of his catalogue. Experience everything from hypnotic folk rock to stripped-back ballads, all performed with the intensity and presence for which Torgeir Waldemar is known.
